DB has one Big Ten offer

"I visited Minnesota this summer," defensive back John Shevlin said. "It was pretty cool. I liked the facilities. The running backs coach is a good guy."
"Minnesota has offered. And I'm looking at Stanford, Colorado, Wisconsin, big schools like that. And Illinois."

"I'm going to wait till after the season and see what my options are. I guess Minnesota is my favorite right now since they've offered."
Shevlin, a 6-foot-1 and 195 pounder from Apple Valley (Minn.) Eastview, made 34 solo tackles and had 25 assists during his junior season. He played outside linebacker but is being recruited as a strong safety. Shevlin has a 3.8 GPA and scored a 24 on the ACT.
