Last month Chad Hagan received some very big news in the form of an offer from Ohio State.
Since that time the 6-foot-2 prospect from Canonsburg (Pa.) Canon McMillan has taken a bit of a break from the recruiting process, opting instead to focus on training.
"I've just been doing the same stuff. A little working out, mostly," Hagan said. "Everything's been busy. It's been just the same stuff with recruiting. I haven't had a chance to visit anywhere.
"I'm probably gonna be visiting in the middle of July. I'm not sure where yet. I've just got to talk it over with my coaches. I'll probably visit a couple of schools."
Apparently the time away from the recruiting process has done Hagan some good.
"I've just been sort of focusing on working out and all that stuff. It seems like the recruiting period has sort of ended for now. Once I feel like I've reached my goals training-wise then I'll go out and start that up again.
"Right now I'm at 225 (pounds) and I want to be at 235 before the season starts. I want to be there and still run the 40 in 4.5. We have a speed camp here every Tuesday and Thursday and I'm basically there from 10 (a.m.) 'til 2 (p.m.)."
Hagan said he still holds the same nine offers that he held in late May.
