RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - Darion Green-Warren has already landed a bunch of impressive offers even though he’s a 2020 prospect.

One big offer is still out there and the Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei standout is making no secret he’d love an offer from Florida State.

“I love (coach Willie) Taggart especially because he plays people early, so no matter what they will be a top school for me,” Green-Warren said at the recent Ground Zero 7on7 Media Day.

“I’m reaching out to them. Growing up, I always watched Florida State so that would be huge for me.”

It’s also huge that Ground Zero standout Jaiden Woodbey, a five-star defensive back from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco, signed with the Seminoles.

Green-Warren’s recruitment is just taking off but that will be a factor he considers.

“That’s big because Jaiden Woodbey is like a role model to me,” Green-Warren said. “He set the path for everybody.”

Originally from Edmond, Okla., Green-Warren has already landed offers from Florida, Louisville, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, UCLA and Utah.

Getting an offer from the Sooners is also huge early on.

“Oklahoma will always be a big one for me,” Green-Warren said. “Ole Miss was a huge one for me because growing up playing the college football game I always played with Ole Miss. USC is up there. It’s just a blessing to get an offer from a top local team.

“I have a lot of family out (in Oklahoma) right now so I’m just waiting for the right opportunity. If it’s right for me, I’ll take it.”

As for new interest, the 2020 defensive back said LSU is starting to reach out.
