DB commits on trip

Defensive back Delton Ashburn made an official visit this weekend and decide to commit, but he might not be done taking his trips.
“It’s about academics there,” Ashburn listed as one of the reasons he committed to Louisville this weekend. “They want to see their players get an education so they have something to fall back on if football doesn’t work out.”

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound cornerback from Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy chose UL over offers from Bowling Green, Kent State, Syracuse, James Madison and Hampton. That’s not to say, however, that he’s done taking official visits.
Despite his commitment to the Cardinals, Ashburn is headed to Syracuse on Friday. According to Ashburn, though, Louisville has nothing to worry about.
“I’m going just to go,” Ashburn said.
Ashburn is rated as a two-star prospect by Rivals.com, and ranked as the No. 32 prospect in Virginia.
