Chris Steele was in Texas this past weekend playing with his 7on7 team and the four-star cornerback took the opportunity to visit Texas A&M.

Not only did he get offered by the Aggies but the Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco standout had an excellent visit to College Station.

During the trip, Steele really hit it off with the new coaching staff. It was definitely a worthwhile trip for both sides.

“I loved the environment and the area around the school,” Steele said.

“I think they will do great things very soon. Coach (Mike) Elko and coach (Maurice Linguist) let me know I’m a priority for them and coach (Jimbo) Fisher, so that was huge.”

Rated as the second-best cornerback in the 2019 class, Steele said he’s pretty sure of official visits so far to Oklahoma and Louisville.

The Sooners have been involved for a long time but Louisville has come as a surprise. The Cardinals are coming hard after the St. John Bosco star and he wants to see what the program is all about.

“I just want to see what the whole environment is like,” Steele said.

“They’ve been recruiting me very hard. They’ve met me know several times that I’m their No. 1 priority in 2019.”

Steele had been committed to UCLA earlier in his recruitment. USC and many others continue to pursue him as well.
