Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Dwyer defensive back Shawn Boone took his fourth official visit to Penn State recently and he enjoyed his trip to State College despite the cold weather. The Nittany Lions lost the game, but it didn't diminish his overall experience.
"It was a great visit, very cold," Boone said. "I liked it though. It snowed while I was there. Coach (Bill) O'Brien is a great guy along with Coach (Anthony) Midget. The whole coaching staff was great to me and so were the players."
Boone said he doesn't have a leader at this time. His top five consists of Arkansas, Maryland, N.C. State, Ole Miss, and Penn State.
He is still waiting to see if Florida State offers, but it appears he is going to strongly consider the schools showing interest in him.
The three-star defensive back is planning to visit Ole Miss in January.
"I'm planning to make my decision sometime in January and let the school know then," Boone said. "However, I want officially announce until February."
Right now, Boone is focused on the playoffs and getting his team to the Class 7A state championship game in Orlando at the Citrus Bowl.
Dwyer is on the road this week at Tarpon Springs (Fla.) East Lake. The secondary will have their hands full on Friday night trying to contain Rivals100 wideout Artavis Scott and 2015 four-star flanker George Campbell.
