Daytona athlete likes WVU

Daytona Beach (Fla.) Seabreeze cornerback/athlete Jerome Swinton currently holds three scholarship offers and has a leader among the three.
"I've got offers from West Virginia, Florida International, Connecticut and that's it for now," he said.

One of the major in-state programs also is giving Swinton a look.
"I just left Florida's camp this Monday and they sure looked interested in me," he said. "They said they were really in to me. That was a nice experience, I'm going to learn their techniques. Florida is a really nice school."
Currently one school is on top for Swinton.
"West Virginia's probably my favorite right now," he said. "They're a big time program, they're about to go big time, and I would be able to go to a big time program and show my skills."
Rod Smith is recruiting Swinton for the Mountaineers. Swinton added that he is going to try to make an unofficial visit to Morgantown in the near future.
Swinton also has interest in FIU and UConn.
"I like them both too," he said. "I don't have a lot to say about them, but I like them. My mind is pretty open. I just don't know what I want to do yet."
Swinton doesn't have a definitive timeframe for a decision.
"I might wait until Signing Day, but some schools don't like you waiting that long, so I might have to figure it out before then," he said.
The 5-foot-9, 160-pound Swinton is a two-star prospect according to Rivals.com.
