Dawson rejoins Michigans class

Detroit Cass Tech offensive lineman David Dawson originally committed to Michigan last February, but spent a couple months away from the Wolverines' commitment list while he considered other schools.
On Saturday, Dawson re-joined Michigan's 2013 class by making a commitment during his official visit to Ann Arbor.

"(I've) just been praying, talking to my friends, family and coaches and this was it for me," Dawson said.
Dawson took an official visit to Florida in October and was scheduled to officially visit Ohio State and Alabama in January, but his official visit this weekend coincided with the official visits of many of the Wolverine's commitments in the 2013 class, many of whom he became close with over the last 10 months. That bond was rekindled this weekend.
"It's very tight with a few like Delano [Hill], JD [Jourdan Lewis], Taco [Charlton], Mike [McCray], Logan [Tuley-Tillman], Khalid [Hill]," Dawson said. "And then I'm also very tight with current players."
Michigan also picked up the commitment of Dawson's teammate, four-star safety Delano Hill, on Saturday and the pair join Cass Tech cornerback Jourdan Lewis on the Wolverine's commitment list.
With the additions of Dawson, Hill and Lewis, Michigan will feature seven Cass Tech alums on their 2013 roster.
"It's a good feeling," Dawson said of playing with his current and former Cass Tech teammates. "We are used to winning and very coachable and disciplined. I have a feeling that us Cass guys can do some big things (at Michigan) and the coaches believe it too. But we are definitely just gonna come in and try to out-work everyone for a spot."
With the addition of Dawson and Hill, Michigan sits at 24 total commitments in 2013 and is ranked as the nation's No. 4 class.
