Dawkins getting Pac-12 look

The spring evaluation period can be useful for Brandon Dawkins since so many college programs are stopping by Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian and at least one Pac-12 school is coming much harder at the quarterback.
"A couple came by," Dawkins said. "There were probably about 15 schools that came by (last) week.

"The most interest comes from ASU right now. They were out there this week and their quarterback coach, coach (Mike) Norvell, he said they're going to give me a call soon. Hopefully, they'll be calling about an offer but if not they still have a lot of interest because of their depth at QB."
Dawkins, a 6-foot-3, 206-pound prospect who already has offers from NC State, Notre Dame and Utah, has already taken a trip to Arizona State and said he loved the coaching staff and the campus.
The Sun Devils have shown a lot of interest in the Oaks Christian quarterback for some time so the increase in chatter is a positive development for Dawkins, who has also been hearing from many other teams as the spring evaluation period continues.
"I took a trip up there not too long ago," Dawkins said.
"The coaches are really interested in me and I know a lot about the program. I've been watching them for a while especially with Carlos Mendoza there, he came from our school, so I've kept an eye on them. When they started to show interest in me I was definitely interested in them."
Dawkins' trip to Tempe definitely intrigued him even more about possibly playing at the school one day.
"It was awesome," Dawkins said. "It's a really, really big campus. There is a lot to do. It's a school I'll definitely be looking into."
