Dawgs see RB at corner

Thomas Flowers plays running back from Mableton (Ga.) Pebblebrook, but if he ends up at UGA, he’d play defensive back. But that’s fine with him, especially after an impressive official visit this weekend.
“I really was impressed with the academic side of things,” Flowers said. “They have the 13th best business school in the nation, and that’s what I want to major in.”

So what about the football side of things?
“That went well, too,” Flowers, who is 5-foot-10 and 183 pounds, said. “The atmosphere and the players and coaches are so down to earth.
“I had a chance to sit with coach (Mark) Richt for a while today. He said he liked my feet and can see me as a lock-down cover corner. I like how he’s honest with me.”
Flowers, however, isn’t ready to make a decision yet. With offers on the table from Auburn, Clemson, Virginia, Florida and Georgia Tech, he’s still planning on taking January official visits.
He visits Clemson on January 10, Virginia on January 17 and Auburn on January 24.
“I’m going to take some visits and compare,” he said. “But Georgia looked good to me.”
Did it look good to the other recruits this weekend?
“Yeah, I think they got a few commitments,” he said.
