Dawgs impress four-star ATH

One of the Peach State’s most coveted prospects had his official visit with Georgia this weekend.
“It was a good trip,” said four-star Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson athlete Michael Grant. “I had been there several times on unofficial visits, so nothing really came as a surprise for me. I just had a good time hanging out with the players, meeting some of the other recruits and talking to the coaches. I felt like I fit in pretty good with those guys.

“My host was DeMario Minter. I knew him already from Stephenson. He’s a couple of years older than me, but I was already familiar with him. We had a fun time. We hung out with some of the other recruits like Tony Bell and Lovon Ponder. I liked those guys.”
Grant (6-0, 175, 4.4) is the No. 9 rated athlete in the nation. In addition to the Bulldogs, he also has Florida, Tennessee and Arkansas on his list of finalists. He’ll visit the Gators next weekend, the Vols on the 23rd an the Hogs on the 30th.
“They’re all looking good right now, but I’d give Georgia a slight lead,” he said. “I really like everything about them. I just want to take my other visits and be sure.”
