Davison excited for Pac-12 interest

Raymond Davison said he's starting to hear a little more from UCLA and that's especially exciting for the Encino (Calif.) Crespi defensive end.
The Bruins have not offered yet but Davison is encouraged to hear more from their coaching staff as league play gets underway this weekend.

"I've been getting a couple calls from a few schools and one of the biggest calls I got was from UCLA," Davison said. "I was pretty happy about that school calling me. I'm hoping they're going to be in the mix pretty soon.
"They said during playoffs that coach (Angus) McClure, the linebackers coach and coach (Jim) Mora would see us play so I'm excited about that."
So far, Davison has received offers from Boise State, Colorado State, Iowa State, Navy, Nevada, San Diego State and Wyoming.
He's been trying to schedule some official visits for later in the season but because things have been so busy and Davison is also hearing from some Pac-12 programs he doesn't want to rush anything just yet.
The 6-foot-2, 218-pound prospect said he's planning to wait a while longer to set up officials and probably won't take any until after the regular season.
Boise State, Iowa State and Nevada are currently three schools he wants to visit but Davison also wants to see what some Pac-12 schools including UCLA do before he sets up trips.
"Right now visits are difficult to set up," Davison said. "The season has been crazy and so I'm trying to take some visits but I'll probably wait until the end of the regular season and wait until playoffs.
"Those are the three places where I'm looking forward to visiting at the end of the regular season. I want to see if other schools talk to me first and those are the schools I'm looking at. I've been getting in contact with a lot of the Pac-12 schools and I'm waiting to see what they say."
