Davis waiting for more offers

Kevin Davis is playing fantastically well through five games in his senior season and now the Fountain (Colo.) Fountain Ft. Carson outside linebacker is hoping to pick up more recruiting interest.
So far, Air Force, Colorado State, New Mexico, Northern Colorado and Wofford have offered the 6-foot-3, 220-pound three-star prospect who said he's willing to wait through his senior season to see which other teams get involved.

"I was pretty confident about my senior season just because of all the camps I went to over the summer and how much I learned," Davis said.
"I'm definitely happy with the way I'm playing because I'm playing a lot better than I did last year."
Through five games, Davis has 73 tackles, five sacks and an interception on defense and also has a touchdown catch on offense. Basically, the same teams are still recruiting him so Davis said he plans to wait to make a decision.
"It's mostly still the same schools," Davis said. "Wofford came out of nowhere when they offered. I only talked to them twice before they offered so that's pretty surprising."
Colorado State has a slight edge in his recruitment but Davis, rated No. 10 in the state of Colorado rankings by Rivals.com, said it's still too early to name any frontrunners.
He's going to the Colorado State-Boise State matchup on Oct. 15 for an official visit and said that could be a big deal but he doesn't plan to commit anytime soon.
Waiting until after his season to see if other teams get in the mix seems like a priority. Davis hasn't scheduled any other visits yet.
"I'm looking forward to it a lot," Davis said of the Colorado State trip. "That's definitely one of the top schools I'm looking at so that visit is important. I'm not going to say I have any leaders right now.
"I'm definitely hoping more offers come in. I'm willing to wait. I'm not really worrying about it too much during the season. I'm just more focused on my team."
