Davis twins reel in Nebraska offer

When a set of twins become highly regarded football recruits, people make certain assumptions. The most common of them is that the siblings will ultimately attend the same college and play for the same program. Assumptions are reckless. But in the case of defensive linemen Carlos Davis and Khalil Davis, they're also correct.
In this case, anyway.

"We're staying together for sure in college," Carlos Davis said. "We're going to the same school."
So far, the duo has just two options. In-state Missouri offered long ago. That offer has had some time to take hold. The brothers have visited the Mizzou campus on several occasions and have ties to the school.
Offer No. 2 arrived on Thursday evening, and it seems as though it might have a serious impact going forward. See, Mizzou isn't the only school with which Carlos and Khalil have history.
"We just got offered by Nebraska about 15 minutes ago," Carlos Davis said on Thursday evening. "That one is big because we've always had a history with them. My uncle played there. He ad us up there when we were little kids. We've been to quite a few games there."
An offseason visit schedule is yet to be set. The probability of trips to Missouri and Nebraska are high, but nothing has been decided at this juncture. Instead, the Blue Springs (Mo.) High School juniors are finalizing dates for various camps and combines. For them, this offseason is about generating buzz and attending junior days.
Carlos Davis says Vanderbilt, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas State, Arizona, Arizona State, Northwestern are also heavily involved in his recruitment and that of his brother. He doesn't venture a guess at what the next offer will be, but it shouldn't take long for it to reveal itself.
A season ago, the Davis brothers were major part of a Blue Springs team that ran the table on its way to a second consecutive state title.
