Davis tries for conference championship

Rivals250 safety Greg Davis out of Blue Ridge, Va. has helped the Barons to a 7-1 record. This week the 6-foot-2, 198-pounder will try to help Blue Ridge to the conference championship if they can win over St. Anne's-Belfield.
"Greg is doing fine and playing very well for us," said Blue Ridge head coach Mike Alley. "He's very aggressive and handling the transition from cornerback to safety very well. He's doing a fine job on the run and has a few interceptions this season."

Recruiting hasn't changed much for the four-star prospect.
"I don't really know what he has planned because we play most of our games on Saturday so it's difficult for him to take visits," he said. "I know Virginia and West Virginia want him to come for visits. I'm sure he won't take any other ones until December or January."
Previously it was reported that Virginia, Virginia Tech, Nebraska and North Carolina State are his leaders. Is that still the case?
"I know that Nebraska is always in the back of his mind since he took the official there," he said. "He's been mentioning North Carolina State some and the Virginia schools a lot too, so yeah I would say those are probably his leaders still."
