Davis Talks Toledo Commitment

Class of 2013 defensive end Daniel Davis of Grand Blanc (Mich.) High School committed to University of Toledo Wednesday night.
The 6-foot-3, 249-pound defensive end chose Toledo over offers from Akron, Cincinnati, Central Michigan, Bowling Green, Ball State and others.

Davis said he recently visited Toledo and made his mind up as to where he should be on his official visit.
"I love Toledo." Davis said. "They have been recruiting me since I was in the tenth grade and it just felt like home. I love Coach [Matt] Campbell and the rest of the coaching staff. Toledo also has a great business program, which is plus."
Davis is known as an elite pass rusher at the high school level and he hopes to be an elite pass rusher on the next level.
"Toledo will have two senior defensive ends that will get plenty of playing time next year, but down the line there will be an opportunity for me to enter the lineup." Davis replied. "Of course there are no guarantees but I am looking forward to working hard and earning a starting spot."
At the end of day, Davis is happy with his decision and so is his family.
"My mom was sold on Toledo the first time we visited, so she is very happy with my decision." Turner said. "I feel like Toledo is headed into a great direction and I am happy to be a part of it and looking forward to earning my degree from Toledo."
