Rivals100 offensive guard Anthony Davis took his second and final official visit of the season to Rutgers over the weekend. The 6-foot-5, 341-pounder out of Piscataway, N.J. had a good visit to the school, but was it enough to overthrow Ohio State?
"The visit went good," he said. "I got there on Friday afternoon and basically went through academic meetings, hung out with the players, went to New York City and the ESPNZone and more."
Davis was hosted on the trip by running back Ray Rice.
"It was really good to be with him," he said. "I see him a lot and there was nothing really new or different this time around. He just tried to remind me how good of a program and place Rutgers is. I had a good time talking to him and a few of the other player."
Before leaving on Sunday, the four-star prospect talked to Greg Schiano.
"I really got to talk to all of the coaches on the trip including coach Schiano," he said. "It was good talking to him again. I've met him a bunch of times and he didn't really stress anything. We just talked for a little while and it was good."
Although we hoped he'd compare the visits, Davis claimed he couldn't.
"I can't really compare them, Ohio State and Rutgers are very different kinds of schools and I like them both," he said. "I don't know if either one is leading. I'd say everything is even until I make my decision at the Army All-American game."
