Davis takes last official, preps for decision

Safety Greg Davis out of Blue Ridge, Va. took his final official visit this past weekend to Knoxville. With Signing Day just over a week away, how did the Volunteers do on their visit with the 6-foot-2, 198-pounder?
"He told me that of course he had a great visit there," said Blue Ridge head coach Mike Alley. "He really enjoyed meeting all the players and coaches and loved the facilities they have. He spoke a lot about how he enjoyed his conversation with coach Fulmer and his recruiting coach Larry Slade. Besides that, Greg said he really loved the campus too."

Alley believes his star safety will be making a decision very soon.
"He's going to take the next couple days to talk with his mom and me to make a decision," he said. "I believe right now he's pretty much narrowed it down to West Virginia, Tennessee and North Carolina State.
"I think all three schools have something for him. They all are great schools that provide an opportunity to play. They also have great coaches and wonderful facilities. I think it just comes down to where he feels most comfortable."
The No. 20 safety in the country has not scheduled a press conference yet.
"We have the local television station on hold and they'll come out next Wednesday for the official Signing," he said. "I still expect him to make a decision in the next couple days, but I don't know if he'll do an official announcement to the public before Signing Day."
