Davis Still Not Naming Leader

If we've learned one thing this recruiting year, it's that St. Petersburg (Fla.) Catholic star athlete Chris Davis likes to keep his recruitment to himself. However, we did manage to get a few comments from the quiet senior on his visit to South Florida.
"It was a good visit," said the 6-foot, 175-pounder. "I liked what I saw there. They're a program trying to reach the next level and they think I can help. They also want me as a quarterback so that's an advantage."
Davis has already visited Boston College and Florida and will set his next visit or visits shortly.
"The schools that want me as a quarterback are Boston College, South Florida, Clemson and Maryland," he said. "I'm also considering South Carolina and Southern Cal for a trip as well. Florida is in the mix as a wide receiver. I don't have a leader at this time."
Asked when he might make his choice, Davis said, "It might be on Signing Day or even after. When I'm ready I'll know it."
