Davis still mulling his options

Monrovia (Calif.) running back James Davis took his official visit to Colorado this past weekend. We actually thought there was a good chance Davis would come home a Buff but the dreaded, 'g' word came up and now the athlete is going to continue to look at his options.
Davis, 5-9, 185 pounds is one of the state's top players and had a very solid season rushing for 1,351 yards and 13 touchdowns to go with 17 catches out of the backfield for 257 yards and four more scores. He has the ability to play in the secondary as well but prefers the offensive side of the ball and that's where he's currently being recruited.

Davis visited Cal back in October and took his second official visit last weekend to Boulder.
"I liked it, it was pretty cool," Davis said. "I liked the players and got along well with everyone there. Chapelle Brown was my host and he's a good friend of mine who I played with last year so it was good to see him again. I had really high expectations of what the trip was going to be like before I left and although I don't know if it was as good as I expected it to be, I still had a good time.
"One of the things I wasn't expecting to hear was they talked to me about grey-shirting. I'm not totally against that but I would obviously prefer to come in this fall with the rest of the class. We'll see how things work out though, I still like Colorado but I'm not ready to make a decision yet or anything.
"More schools are starting to come in to the picture so I'm just going to take my time and play this out. Utah State came over for a home visit last night and that went really well. I'm going to visit there this coming weekend. Wyoming is coming to the school tomorrow and Wisconsin just called my coach and requested film. Right now, I'm just going to take this next visit and then see what Wyoming and Wisconsin want to do."
