Davis returns from trip with final three

Dade City (Fla.) Pasco wide receiver Darrell Davis has several big programs on his offer list and radar screen, but a school that is definitely on the rise was the recipient of an unofficial visit from the 6-foot-4, 200-pound three-star prospect this weekend and things couldn't have gone better for Davis.
It was South Florida shocking the country this weekend with a lopsided upset win over highly ranked Louisville and Davis was on hand to watch the game on a visit. Not only did the game open his eyes to USF, but the coaches met his expectations.

"I went there and that was outstanding," Davis said about his USF trip this past weekend. "I got a chance to talk to the coaches after the game and after all that, they've moved right to the top. My top three is pretty set in stone as a final deal with USF, NC State, and Florida State."
"NC State was the latest team to offer me."
That leaves Florida State as the only team that has yet to offer Davis and he says the only team that could crack his top three with an offer is Florida. However, right now he's setting up more trips.
"I'm going to NC State the weekend after my homecoming game on Oct. 15 for their game," Davis said. "I want to go up there and see a lot of the good things I've been hearing. I'm also going to visit South Carolina. I don't have the date for that yet. They're not in my top three, but I want to see what they have. After this weekend USF will also get a visit for sure."
His friend and former teammate Dominic Brown moved away from Pasco High School to try to get his family life a bit more stable. Davis misses his friend, but feels it was for the better.
"His dad is on his feet and wanted him to have a good home environment, so he moved in with him," Davis said about Brown. "He's like my brother, but I understand why he had to leave. His dad wants him there to give him that support you need. I just talked to him the other day and I think he's about ready to commit to Miami if he gets everything done with grades and stuff."
"I'm not going to be deciding anytime soon though. It will be something in January."
