ATLANTA – Camron Davis' commitment to Oregon State remains, well, intact.
Davis is considered to be one of the top running backs in South Florida. The four-star running back’s pledge to the Beavers is as solid as a commitment from a prospect that has never visited campus can be. That’s to say things are subject to change – and change drastically – at any given moment.
As for other visits, those will come in time. Davis’ offer list has expanded rapidly in recent months and there’s a long list of schools attempting to break his current commitment. Davis, however, is in no hurry to rush into a decision.
IN HIS WORDS
On Oregon State: “I talk to the coaches about visiting a lot. For now, the plan is just sometime this summer. I still have to talk to my parents about that and get a date and whatever."
On other visits: "I’m just trying to get bigger and better right now. I’ll worry about all that eventually. Right now I’m just working to get better.”
On other schools: “Right now, South Carolina, Miami and Tennessee are on my list. I’m looking at those and some others.”
RIVALS' REACTION
The odds are not in Oregon State’s favor here. If the Beavers get Davis to campus this summer, they will improve. Still, with new interest always swirling around the running back, getting him to the West Coast will be difficult. The Beavers are, at the very least, in for a fight.
