Davis reconsidering UNC commitment

At North Carolina's Fedora's Freak Show, class of 2015 three-star athlete Javarius Davis of Jacksonville (Fla.) Ed White got caught up in the moment and committed to the Tar Heels on the spot. A month later at Florida's Friday Night Lights, he turned in a solid performance that led to the Gators offering him on Sunday.
While Davis remains committed to North Carolina, he admits the Florida offer has him thinking, and other schools including USC and Wisconsin remain in the mix.

"My relationship with coach (Dan Disch) is good and it felt like the perfect place to be," Davis said. "Plus, I can go there and probably play early and get a great education. Plus, coach (Larry Fedora) is a great coach and they have a good, up-and-coming program.
"I think I'm going to be a part of it, but who knows. My options are still open, so we're going to see."
Davis said he was offered by Will Muschamp on Sunday.
"I was very excited when coach Muschamp told me," he said. "I'm going to talk to my mom and see how it goes but right now I'm still firm to UNC."
When asked how firm his commitment to the Tar Heels was, he said, "80, 90 percent."
Davis said he also has a good relationship with USC assistant Tee Martin and hasn't ruled out the Trojans either.
His official visit schedule currently includes Wisconsin, North Carolina and USC. He plans on deciding whether or not to de-commit by his birthday, which is Dec. 26.
