Davis practice has been a busy place

Colleyville (Texas) Heritage defensive end Alan Davis has had several coaches coming by his school lately. Now, the good news is about to come over the next few days.
“Texas, Iowa, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have all been by the school in the last week to look at spring workouts,” Davis’ father Alan said. “Iowa has been recruiting him pretty heavy lately.”

The good news should be coming soon.
“The Oklahoma coach that was here said he would be very surprised if (head coach Bob) Stoops didn’t offer him within the next week. Iowa is supposed to offer this week sometime too. We didn’t expect a lot of offers during the spring, but we did figure there would be some interest.”
The interest isn’t slowing down either.
“Baylor is going to come by the school and Auburn is supposed to come by sometime soon too.”
Davis has already taken his standardized tests in an effort to get that hurdle out of the way.
“He took both the SAT and the ACT a couple weeks ago. We’re now just waiting on the results. It shouldn’t be a problem at all, but until the results come back, you’re always anxious.”
Davis looks to have a busy summer outside of work while he travels from football camp to football camp.
“Alan is going to go to three overnight camps. He’s going to go to Texas, Florida State and either Penn State or Notre Dame. Those last two are the same time, so he’ll have to make the decision later. He also is going to go to day camps at SMU, Baylor and Oklahoma.”
