Davis out from the shadows

ANAHEIM, Calif., - With a Florida State recruiting class ranked No. 6 in the nation, Seminole commits that come to mind are five-stars Myron Rolle and Brandon Warren. But, Miami offensive center commit Brandon Davis is making his name known at the Air 7 CaliFlorida Bowl.
Playing around some of the bigger offensive lineman in the country, the 6-foot-2, 290-pound Davis may not be the largest prospect on the talented all-star squad, but he certainly has all the tools for the center position.

"There are some good players out here, but that's made it a great experience for me," Davis said. "We're running a fast-paced offense and so we've got to come off the ball real fast, real hard. I think this will help us go along way in helping us beat California."
Davis says that nothing has changed about his commitment to FSU. In fact, he loves the chance more ever day that he might be able to compete early.
"I love the overall feel at Florida State," Davis said. "The coaches have told me that they have a senior center there and they're going to recruit some more lineman, but if I come out and play hard, maybe I could see some playing time."
"It's a great program to be a part of."
With the game just a day away, Davis says that the most important thing is closing out the week strong with a win.
"Winning the game and playing hard is our goal out here," Davis said. "You have to soak up an opportunity like this because it's my last chance playing with guys in high school."
