Davis on verge of announcing commitment
Florissant (Mo.) McCluer North's Stephen Davis visited Minnesota and Northwestern the first two weekends in December. He had been scheduled to visit Wisconsin this past weekend. Did he take the trip?
"I didn't visit Wisconsin," Davis said. "Basically a defensive end committed to them, so for me that meant if I went up there they might not have a scholarship for me.

"I'm not taking anymore visits. I'm going to make a decision. It's down to two. I'm going to decide real soon. Maybe Monday.
"Minnesota is my leader right now."
The 6-foot-2, 210 pound Davis, who made 123 tackles including 12 sacks this season, is the No. 42 outside linebacker prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 10 prospect in the state of Missouri.
