Davis looks for opportunity to shine

Running back Mike Davis is a 5-foot-10, 205-pound prospect from Columbia, S.C. and runs the 40-yard dash in around 4.48 seconds. Does he have any favorites?
"Right now I'm hearing from a lot of schools, and I'm closing my options. I like South Carolina, Clemson, Michigan, Auburn and a bunch of other schools in the ACC and SEC. Most of the schools I like are down south, but a school from any part of the country could impress me."
Davis will consider things such as academics, the quality of the football program and the college experience at each school. But one factor seems to stand out above the others in importance.
"I want to be the number one back in an offense that will let me showcase my skills," he said. "I don't mind if they pass downfield a lot or anything, but I do want to get my carries and find an offense that fits my skills. I'm a running back -- that's just who I am on the football field. So I've got to make the best decision for me factoring that in."
Davis was a workhorse in his junior season, carrying the ball an impressive 380 times for 2,250 yards and 25 touchdowns.
