Davis knows his choice, but isnt telling

Rivals100 running back Mike Davis of Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson said on Thursday he knows which school will get his commitment, but he wouldn't name the college and doesn't plan on doing so for awhile.
"I'm not going to tell until signing day [on Feb. 1]," Davis told Rivals.com. "I don't want to go public with it yet."

According to Davis, who was a Florida pledge for several months before de-committing in early December, his mother and brother, former Clemson running back James Davis, are the only people he has told. Not even the coaches from the program he plans to sign with knows what his choice is, he said.
"I know it's a good fit for me," said Davis, who rushed for nearly 2,000 yards in 11 games as a senior. "I spoke with my mom and told her about it and she loved it."
Davis recently said he had a top six, in alphabetical order, of Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, South Carolina and Tennessee. He would only confirm Thursday that his choice is one of those schools and declined to name any that had been eliminated.
Davis, who will compete in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio next week, did provide one hint as to what he was thinking.
"What led me to the decision was it not being as far from home," he said.
Thus far, the 5-feet-10, 200-pound Davis has made official visits to Florida State and Tennessee. He spoke positively about both programs, and both trips, after he made them.
Next, he will visit South Carolina on Jan. 13, Georgia on Jan. 20 and Clemson on Jan. 27. He recently unofficialed to Athens.
If Davis knows his college destination, why is he taking more officials?
"Just to keep my options open," he said. "But I'm real comfortable with my decision. I'm going to stick with it. I know for sure I'm going to stick with it."
