Davis is a dangerous weapon

Greenbelt (Md.) Eleanor Roosevelt tight end/wide receiver William Davis is poised for a breakout season. Davis, who is drawing interest from bigtime college programs, has had to wait his turn to shine and he is prepared to do so.
"Last season, I only had eight receptions for 160 yards. Now it is my time to step up and show what I can do," said the 6-foot-3, 210-pound playmaker who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.

Although Davis has no scholarship offers at this point, he is drawing interest from some bigtime programs.
"The schools that are recruiting me the hardest are Maryland, Miami, Florida, Ohio State, Georgia, and Marshall."
What does Davis look for in a school?
"I want a full college experience. I want to play for a good program at a school that has solid academics and a good campus life."
Davis currently maintains a 2.9 GPA and is awaiting his SAT scores from earlier this month.
