Ryan Davis already has a lot of offers, and one stands out above the rest.
"I think Florida State stands out the most," Davis said last week at the Under Armour Combine registration.
"They know how to win, they have great tradition, I love the coaching staff and I have a really good bond with Coach (Lawrence) Dawsey. My brother went there so I know a lot about the program already."
So far, the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood three-star athlete has been offered by Florida State, Arizona, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Memphis, South Florida, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.
There is also a long list of schools that are interested in Davis but have yet to offer, including Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Miami, Florida and USC.
The Seminoles are the frontrunner for Davis, who looked really good during the Under Armour Combine, but with so much interest and plenty of time to make a decision, the St. Petersburg Lakewood recruit is not going to rush anything.
Florida State might be tough to beat, but Davis is not ready to commit yet.
"I'm not thinking about making a decision yet," Davis said. "After the spring I might make my decision, but I'm not ready yet."
His brother, Chris, signed in Florida State's 2002 class. He was rated as the second-best athlete and the No. 6 overall recruit in that cycle.
