Greenbelt (Md.) Eleanor Roosevelt defensive back Theirren “Bud” Davis was a name added late to the recruiting scene, but a player that has taken advantage of his recent acclaim. The 6-foot-0, 190-pound prospect runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and recently returned from his first official trip.
“My trip to Duke was pretty good,” he said. “I had fun and I learned a lot.” He rated the visit a “seven or eight” and was hosted by sophomore wide receiver Ronnie Elliot.
“Ronnie was really good,” Davis continued. “He showed me the ropes about being a Blue Devil. The head coach, Coach Roof, and the running backs coach, Coach Chatham, also really stood out.
“I really need to take more visits to see how much I liked it, though.” He plans two more visits at least, but has switched the order.
“I am going to Virginia this weekend,” he explained. “I switched things up. I will go to Marshall on the 23rd now.
“I will be looking at the coaching staff, the environment, and just how I feel. Penn State is still in there and Florida is in there, too. I am just waiting to hear from them.”
