Davis delays announcement
Washington (D.C.) Dunbar defensive back Vontae Davis, the No. 1 prospect in the District of Columbia in the Rivals.com player rankings, had said on Sunday night that he would announce on Tuesday whether he is headed to Michigan State or Illinois. However that did not happen.
"I rescheduled my announcement for sometime (Wednesday)," Davis said late Tuesday night. "I'm not sure what time. Just sometime Wednesday."

Davis made official visits to Michigan State, Illinois, Maryland, and Virginia.
"It's still either Michigan State or Illinois," Davis said. "Call me Wednesday night and I'll tell you."
The 6-foot-0 and 185-pound Davis intercepted eight passes in leading his team to a 9-2 record during his senior season. Dunbar won the city championship.
