Davis adds two new offers

Tuesday was a big day for Tallahassee (Fla.) Godby cornerback T.J. Davis. The 6-foot, 175-pound defensive back learned that the Alabama Crimson Tide had extended an offer.
"They told my coach and also said they want me to come to their upcoming Junior Day," Davis said. "Nick Saban wants to tell me when I visit. Their Junior Day is on the 19th and I am planning to attend."

"It is great," Davis added. "It is a big accomplishment."
For Davis, the interest from Alabama is reciprocal as he made his way to the Tuscaloosa campus this past summer.
"I camped there last summer," Davis said. "I loved it. They play smashmouth football. That is how I like to play."
The Crimson Tide are far from his only offer.
"Prior to Alabama, Georgia Tech, LSU, Auburn, and Southern Miss were my most recent offers," Davis said.
Alabama wasn't his only offer on Tuesday, as Davis also received an offer from Illinois.
Some of his earlier offers include Clemson, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Florida State, Louisville, Ole Miss, Ohio State, South Carolina, and South Florida.
With so many offers already delivered, how is Davis going to approach his recruitment in the immediate future?
"I am just going to take my time and try to find the right place to be," Davis said. "I don't have any leaders at this point."
When it comes time to narrow things down and eventually decide, Davis said the factors that will allow one school to win out for his services is simple.
"I want a good environment and the right coaches," Davis said. "I am also looking at the whole college environment and how the players are treated and how they feel about the program."
Davis has previously attended Junior Day events at Florida State and Auburn. This coming weekend he will make his way to Gainesville to visit the University of Florida for a Junior Day. The Gators have yet to offer.
In addition to football, Davis is also participating in track and field.
