Davis a done deal

Las Flores (Calif.) Tesoro linebacker John-Michael Davis said earlier this weekend he was hoping to make a decision soon. Well that soon turned into now.
The 6-foot-1, 213-pound three-star prospect committed to Boise State just moments ago while on an unofficial visit to the Broncos campus.

"I'm officially a Bronco," Davis, the nation's No. 69 inside linebacker, said. "It's a great city. The coaches are great. I love the atmosphere up here. It's great. Pretty much everything is perfect. It's the right fit for me."
Davis also had offers from New Mexico and was getting heavy attention from UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon and Cal. He attended UCLA's one-day camp earlier this month.
Whoever lands ends up landing Davis will be getting a big, fast strong linebacker who is athletic enough and quick enough to cover receivers while he has the size and toughness hit people in the middle.
In the weight room, Davis currently benches 325, squats 525, power cleans 325 and has recorded a 34-inch vertical.
As a junior, Davis accounted for 80, tackles, three pass deflections, one interception and one fumble recovery. His performance saw him earn all-state honors. As a junior he played at Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita.
Davis is the fifth three-star prospect to commit to the Broncos, giving the program one of its best starts ever in recruiting.
