Davidson enjoys visit to Big Ten country

After a blow out win on Friday night in Long Beach Poly's (Calif.) playoff opener, Jackrabbit defensive back Herman Davidson took his second official visit of the year to Michigan this past weekend.
Davidson, 6-3, 215 pounds is one of the most unique players in the state. He's a big safety who can run and with his size, some feel he projects best down the line at linebacker. That's actually the position the Woliverines are recruiting Davidson.

"I loved the visit and especially being at the game," Davidson said. "It was a crazy atmosphere and all the fans were really in to it. I've never experienced anything like that before. The crowd was so huge and the fans from both sides were really loud.
"There were some chears, some boos and by the end of the game, the Ohio State fans were kind of drowning out the Michigan fans but overall, it was a lot of fun to be there.
"Me and Vaughn too the red eye after our game Friday night and go in around 7:30 in the morning. From there, we shot over to the stadium for the game and I got to meet some of the players on the team before kickoff.
"Donovan (Warren) was my host and he loves it at Michigan. He said he has no regrets about leaving home and really wants us to come to Michigan as well.
"The campus is great. Everything there is pretty top notch. They have all the latest technology in the athletic facilities as well as the classroom. They have a great weight room and I love the academic buildings.
"Before I left, I talked with Coach Carr and he offered me a scholarship. I want to call them back tonight to talk more about it but it was exciting to get that Michigan offer. As for the speculation about Coach Carr resigning, I talked to him and he really didn't say what he was going to do.
"He just said he'll always be involved at Michigan and said no matter what, I should still look at Michigan because of what a great school it is. Right now, I'm very high on Michigan but I'm high on North Carolina and those two are equal for me since those are my two visits.
"I want to take all five of my trips if I can and I think the next one I'll set up is with Colorado. I also want to visit Ole Miss and Washington State. When I'm done with my trips, that's when I'll make my decision."
