Dash hoping for more

Fontana (Calfi.) A.B. Miller three-star all-purpose back David Dash has offers from San Jose State and Iowa State. He was hoping to earn more offers, especially after impressing at several camps, but it's just not happened.
At least not at this point.

"It's kind of slow," he said. "I was expecting more people to offer, but I haven't really got anything. All I've got is a new offer from San Jose State. I went to the Schuman combine in San Diego a couple months ago and won MVP. I went to one of ASU's camps, and then I went up to Oregon and won MVP for running back at their camp last month."
And it's with ASU and Oregon that Dash hopes more attention develops.
"Oregon said they'd come see a couple of my games and get my film and see how it goes from there," he said. "I liked their atmosphere. Their coaches there are no different than ones from California, everything is more laid-back and you don't see people getting into trouble. I like the facilities and everything was real nice.
"With ASU, it was hot, but it was pretty cool. It was a one day thing. We got to meet the coaches and see all the facilities. I liked it a lot. Most of them knew who I was and said they wanted to see more of me. They're watching me."
Dash said he did enjoy getting the new offer from San Jose State and it is a viable option for him.
"I talked to them during school, but they didn't say much more than that they'd be looking to me," he said. "Then they wrote me a letter and sent me a card. Kinji Green has been recruiting me."
As far as visits go, Dash said he has a few places in mind.
"I want to go up to Iowa State and visit them," he said. "It's not close to home, and I think once you're more independent you're better off. You might be better off if you don't know a lot of the people around you. Iowa State is kind of far, and it might be good for me to get away from home. Chris Ash is a good guy. He's talked to me and I felt like there's a connection. I'm really interested in their school.
"I want to go back to Oregon and talk to their coaches and see more of their facilities. I really like Oregon. If they offered me, I think I would go with them because I really like them. I want to see Cal, too."
