Darks may re-schedule Kansas visit

Lufkin, Texas linebacker Aaron Darks was scheduled to make his first official visit over the weekend.
“I was scheduled to go to Kansas last weekend for their game against Nebraska,” the 6-foot-1, 205-pound Darks said. “I didn’t want to go. I had other plans come up. They usually call me on Wednesday each week. I might try and re-schedule that visit when they call this week.”

Other than Kansas, the three-star rated Darks continues to hear from the same schools.
“Houston calls every once in a while,” he said. “I still get some stuff from Arkansas, Iowa and LSU.”
Darks previously had a scholarship offer from Houston and he has recently added another offer to his list.
“Kansas has offered,” Darks said. “They offered me a scholarship about the same time we set up that visit.”
Darks has helped lead Lufkin into the playoffs.
“We went 5-1 in district games,” he said. “We were the district champs. We’re into the playoffs now.”
Darks managed to get through the season despite a couple of minor injuries to his thighs.
“I had a couple of bruised thighs during the year,” he said. “I’m fine now, though. I finished up with 57 tackles on the year. The injuries slowed me down a little bit. But, that is an easy way to explain why my tackle numbers are so low.”
