Darity playing it close to the vest

Those following the recruitment of four-star Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln offensive lineman Calvin Darity may have to be a little patient this fall.
The Rivals100 guard is seemingly in no hurry to pare down a lengthy list of schools or name favorites at this juncture.

“I just haven’t gotten around to doing anything like that,” he said. “I don’t know when I’ll cut it down. Right now, I’m trying to take a close look at everybody who has offered me.”
That list includes the likes of Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Nebraska, North Carolina, Alabama, Louisville, Clemson, Syracuse and Tennessee. He’s also drawing high interest from Miami and Ohio State.
Asked if he’s received any calls since the beginning of the month, Darity said, “I have, but I don’t remember exactly who they were.”
Translation: Darity appears to be keeping a tight wrap on his recruiting situation.
He did, however, talk about a pair of recent unofficial visits.
“I went to the Auburn/Southern California game two weeks ago, and I went to the FSU/Maryland game this past week,” he said. “I had a good time at both games. They were a lot of fun. I like those two schools and the atmosphere there.
“I’m going to try and hit some of these other schools who have offered me, but I haven’t figured out where or when I’ll be going yet.”
Darity is the nation’s No. 1 ranked guard, coming off a junior season which saw him grade out at 88 percent with 57 pancake blocks and 48 “decleaters.” He’s also a gem in the classroom with a 3.89 GPA and an 1100 on the SAT.
