Daramy starting to set visits

Westerville (Ohio) South athlete Abu Daramy emerged on the off-season camp and combine circuit and has had a strong start to his senior year, but Power Five schools have been slow to show interest.
"At first there was a little interest from West Virginia and Ohio State, but that is starting to die out real slowly," Daramy said. "Right now there is not really any interest from BCS (schools)."

Even if Daramy does pull offers from Power Five programs later in the process, he would weigh them as he has all his offers to date. He is intrigued by many of the offers he currently holds.
"I am always keeping the Ivy League schools and the service academies as my highest offers," Daramy said. "And, I always keep the MAC schools in there for sure because there are some I have interest in."
Army, Navy and Air Force have each extended offers to Daramy, and the opportunity to play at a service academy is one he is seriously considering.
"It does interest me because I would like to surround myself with a group of people who have the same goal I do," Daramy said. "It would set me up for life with leadership skills, how to fight through adversity and all of that. It will set me up with lifetime benefits after serving."
Two of the service academies, along with an Ivy League program, are likely to receive visits from him in the near future.
"I have set up an official visit with Yale and I'll probably set one up with Navy and maybe Air Force," Daramy said. "December 5th, 6th and 7th is when I'll be going to Yale."
Beyond those schools, Daramy said he keeps in regular contact with coaches at Akron, Kent State, Western Michigan, Army, Colgate and Fordham.
Westerville South is off to a 3-1 start this season. Daramy is playing primarily wide receiver and special teams. He has one receiving touchdown on the season, a 94-yard kickoff return touchdown, a 62-yard punt return touchdown and 51-yard fake punt touchdown.
At 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, Daramy's testing numbers this past off-season included a 4.07 shuttle, a 41-inch vertical and a 10-3 broad jump.
