THE LATEST: Dante Walker is a name to know moving forward. He was first offered by Mississippi State during his freshman year, then North Carolina extended an offer and Georgia recently placed their name on his offer list.

The 6-foot-3, 240 pound rush end out of Riverdale (Ga.) finished with 89 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 8 sacks as a sophomore. He is going to add offers this spring as coaches get out on the road in April for the evaluation period.

He has three offers and he is going to take visits, but Florida State is Walker's dream school. His mother, Trinetta Moore played basketball for the Seminoles and Walker has garnet and gold running through his veins.

Next up for the talented sophomore is a trip to Athens (Ga.). He will be at Georgia for a visit this weekend. Right before signing day, Kevin Sherrer and Kirby Smart stopped by Riverdale to check on Walker.

IN HIS WORDS: "I have been to Georgia for camps and for a game, and it really feels like home up there. Georgia is a powerhouse school that always recruits top players and I like it over there. I like the atmosphere, I like the way they play and it is a place I could see myself at.

"I do not know much about North Carolina yet, but I have been watching Mississippi State since they offered me first and they are a good team. I like their style of play, they have shown me attention and I have interest in them.

"Florida State is where I have always wanted to go. My mom going there has made them my school since I was little. If I got that offer, it would be hard not to go there.

"Florida State would be my top school right now. I am really liking Georgia too and I will look at all the schools that offer me, but Florida State is still the school I like the most."

RIVALS REACTION: Walker is one of the top sophomores in the Peach State. He has three offers and not many are showing interest outside that trio yet, but that will soon change. He has his mind set on Florida State, and if Jimbo Fisher decides to offer, it could be game over for Walker. Georgia is a legit contender, and with Georgia offering him early, getting him on campus a lot and building a strong relationship early in his recruitment, that is something that could give them an edge in the end.
