Dannewitz pulls the trigger

San Jacinto (Calif.) offensive lineman Ryan Dannewitz took official visits to Oregon and San Diego State. The talented lineman decided to end the recruiting process on Tuesday but his school of choice was not one of the two he visited.
Dannewitz, 6-7, 280 pounds is one of the top linemen in the West this year. He took two visits and had a few more planned as well but decided to end the recruiting process Tuesday night.

"Ryan committed to Colorado," San Jacinto coach Bill Powell said. "I was kind of surprised by the timing to be honest but he camped with Colorado and they have been in his top two since the summer.
"He just felt so comfortable there. He loves the coaching staff and developed a real good relationship with Brian Cabral who recruits the area. He also loves Coach Hawkins and believes in the direction of the program.
"Ryan liked Oregon a lot too but I think he just felt more wanted by Colorado and that was where he felt he fit in the best. He felt a connection there and with a lot of these players, that's usually the deciding factor in a lot of cases."
