Dannewitz enjoys time in Colorado

San Jacinto (Calif.) offensive lineman Ryan Dannewitz is one of the elite offensive lineman in what is a very strong year for linemen out West this coming year. Dannewitz checked out Colorado over the weekend and came home raving about his time in Boulder.
Dannewitz, 6-6, 275 pounds earned all-state underclass honors a year ago and is a very talented prospect. He has the size colleges love and is also athletic enough to play tackle or guard at the next level.

Early scholarship offers have come in from Oregon, Arizona, San Diego State, Colorado and Fresno State and Dannewitz visited Boulder last weekend for the Buffs Junior Day.
"I loved it there," Dannewitz said. "I was in Colorado for three days total but just spent the one day on campus for the Junior Day. First we watched some Spring practice, toured the campus and I had a nice talk with the coaches.
"I talked with Coach Hawkins and also spent a lot of time with Coach Grimes, the new offensive line coach. He's a great guy anad I was very comfortable with the whole coaching staff there.
"The campus and facilities are all really nice and they said they're planning on building a new indoor stadium and upgrading some of the facilities as well. The city of Boulder itself is really nice and I just loved everything about the visit.
"Right now, my plan it to make an early commitment but I want to visit a few other schools before making a decision. I'm going to check out Notre Dame April 12-14 and will also visit Michigan State and possibly Ole Miss as well.
"Right now, my favorite schools would be the five that have offered but Colorado is my top school in the group. They have everything I'm looking for and I was really comfortable there. After my visits, I'll look at all my schools and then hopefully be able to decide before my senior year."
