Daniels names top 10

Euless (Texas) Trinity Rivals100 defensive tackle Chris Daniels has been planning to name his top 10 for weeks, but as his options expanded it became harder to narrow his focus.
It may have taken a little longer than expected but on Saturday he was ready. His top 10 was set and Daniels was ready to let it be known. Texas A&M, Baylor, Ole Miss, Michigan, TCU, Ohio State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Washington, and Miami all made the list.

"I want to thank everyone for tuning in and all the coaches for the time and effort they put into recruiting me," Daniel said in his video. "At this time I'm only considering schools who have offered me a scholarship. Five things that factored into my decision are prestige, coaches, location, family, and childhood dreams. My top 10 are Texas A&M, Baylor, Ole Miss, Michigan, TCU, Ohio State, Nebraska, the Oklahoma Sooners, Washington, and Miami the U."
Each of his top 10 have caught his attention for a variety of reasons.
"First of all [Texas A&M]'s not too far from home," Daniels said. "They think I'm very flexible on the line so I can play any position on the defensive line. They say I have a high chance of starting if I go out there and show I'm capable of that. That's what stood out to me and the same thing goes for Baylor and Ole Miss. They said the same thing.
"Michigan, I grew up a fan of Michigan. When I mentioned childhood dreams, Michigan was always the school I wanted to go to growing up. And they also told me the same thing as Texas A&M.
"TCU, they're like family. Before all the stars came - the four-star, three-star, whatever - they were there before everything started. They saw something in me other colleges didn't see.
"The same thing goes for [Ohio State]. They've been showing a lot of love and they really want me to go there. And they're the National Champion and they have a lot to choose from and they chose me.
"Nebraska, I'm a fan of Ndamukong Suh and he went there. I feel like I can do what he did but I can do it even better. They also told me I have a good chance of starting too.
"Oklahoma, I love coach Bob Stoops. He really wants me to play defensive end, defensive tackle, nose, he says I'm very flexible as well. I love the campus and how everything is set up. That really stands out to me too.
"Washington is kind of far but like I said before they say I'm flexible and they think I can start as a freshman and they put a lot of guys in the NFL and that's the ultimate goal. The same thing goes for Miami."
Daniels has had an idea a few college programs would make his cut. He told Rivals.com's Matt Clare earlier this week he knew Baylor, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Michigan would make the cut. However he is not ready to declare anyone of his top 10 a leader, and he is still open to considering other schools who have offered and missed his current top 10.
Before he made his announcement he did say only schools who offered would make his top 10, but there are a few schools who have not offered and are of interest to Daniels.
"Yes, Oregon, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Texas, and that's about it," Daniels said. "I talk to them about every week. They just say they want to see me in person."
He does not have any concrete visit plans this summer, but he does have a few visits in mind. He wants to visit Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Miami, Oklahoma State, USC, Arkansas, Baylor, and Texas A&M this summer, but he does not plan to attend any camps.
Daniels is currently ranked No. 70 in the Rivals100, No. 9 in the Rivals.com Texas Top 100, and the nation's No. 9 defensive tackle.
