Daniels finally makes the call

Brenham, Texas three-star wide receiver Justin Daniels intended to make his commitment on Monday. Favoring Houston, it was expected to be an easy decision but things got delayed.
Daniels told Rivals.com that he wanted to "wait things out a few days to talk with his family" about the decision. Friday morning word came from Brenham coach Glen West that Daniels had in fact finally "committed to Houston."

Daniels said that he would have done it sooner, but just had trouble getting the coaches on the phone.
"I would have committed Thursday, but I just couldn't get the coach on the phone," Daniels said. "I'm all done. It's just a good feeling with them. I'm solid.
"They said that there was a good chance I could play as a freshman if I come in there ready to go."
The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder also held scholarship offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, and Kansas. Miami, Texas Tech, Texas A&M and TCU were showing interest.
Daniels went to the Houston camp last week and was dead set on making it official for the Cougars.
His recruiter from Houston was coach Jason Phillips and is the first three-star prospect to commit to the Cougars in the 2007 class.
