Daniel lands three surprise offers

It has been a wild week for Jacob Daniel as the 2015 defensive tackle from Fresno (Calif.) Clovis North landed a few Pac-12 offers and his recruitment could continue to stay busy.
"It was crazy," Daniel said. "It's been a pretty good week."

Daniel landed offers from Cal and Wisconsin on the same day and both were pretty unexpected.
He said his coaches at Clovis North showed some highlight film to those two coaching staffs and both decided to offer.
It was a big start to recruiting for Daniel, who landed an offer from Utah a few days later as things begin to heat up with the massive 2015 lineman.
"My coach showed them some film and they just wanted to offer me," Daniel said. "It was a pretty good day for me.
"Cal is amazing. They have great academics, a great football team, great history with their football team and I really like coach (Barry) Sacks, the defensive line coach. He's a great guy. I've just talked to coach Sacks a little bit.
"I was not expecting that offer from Wisconsin one bit. I wasn't expecting that one at all."
Daniel, who also has an offer from Southern Utah, said he has not been receiving recruiting interest from any other programs yet. Once his highlight tape is sent out more, though, that could change.
The 2015 prospect from Central California is planning to work out at the NIKE Camp in Oakland next month and that could help in recruiting. Other than that trip, Daniel is not sure of his summer plans yet.
