Daniel impressed after Cal trip

MORE: Change in plans for Mixon
Jacob Daniel could be one of the top 2015 prospects in California, so every time he visits a campus or hears from a new school it's important news.

The Fresno (Calif.) Clovis North defensive tackle took a trip to Cal last week with some teammates and definitely liked what he saw at Berkley.
"I was up at Cal on Thursday," Daniel said. "We got a bunch of the team together and drove up there and watched practice.
"They said they liked me a lot. It was kind of cool to see (defensive line) Coach (Barry) Sacks coach. That guy is really cool. It was a great practice with high tempo and high intensity. It was good to get up there to see the new stadium and everything. They gave us a tour of the facilities. It is really, really nice."
Recently, Daniel said Cal, Washington and Oklahoma stood out more than the others, but now the 6-foot-5, 300-pound recruit said all teams are equal and he's not ready to narrow down his list yet.
The 2015 standout does not plan to name any frontrunners until after his junior season, especially with so many teams that still might get involved.
"I don't really have a top three," Daniel said. "Some schools are starting to stand out to me, but I'll start narrowing down my list after the season."
So far, Cal, Colorado, Fresno State, Hawaii, Houston, Iowa, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon State, San Diego State, Stanford, UCLA, Utah, Washington, Washington State and Wisconsin have offered. He's hoping to hear more from USC and Oregon.
Daniel said Stanford is his latest offer and it's one to seriously consider.
"They're a great team, a great program," Daniel said. "I've never talked to coach (David) Shaw or anything. I've talked to coach (Pete) Alamar and that's when they offered me. Hopefully I can go see that campus soon, too."
