Dan Mason begins to discuss visits

Four-star linebacker Dan Mason out of Pittsburgh (Pa.) Penn Hills holds a handful of offers. The 6-foot-0, 220-pounder hasn't taken any official visits to date. Has he scheduled anything yet?
"Not really, I'm planning to take most of my visits in December and January after I take the SAT on December 6th," he said. "I'm looking at trip to Pittsburgh, Penn State, West Virginia, Toledo and Boston College.

"I like Virginia Tech still too. They haven't offered me. They were showing interest in the summer and send mail, but haven't called. All the other schools have offered."
Why does Mason want to visit these schools?
"They all have offered, plus Pittsburgh and Penn State are close to home. All five of these are good programs and good academic schools."
The No. 8 prospect in Pennsylvania is mainly focused on his season still.
"Everything is going great, we are 8-3 and about to go to the semifinals," he said. "I'm really happy with the team. We are close knit and have camaraderie. We are playing as a football team and executing."
