Dan Connor commits

It was down to a few schools for Wallingford (pa.) Strath Haven linebacker Dan Connor before he made his decision today. So who did the five-star 'backer commit to?
"I committed to Penn State," said Connor, who is 6-foot-3, 215 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.55 seconds. "I just felt very comfortable there from the start and I liked the coaches. The chance to play local in front of all those great fans is also a big part of my decision."

Connor chose the Nittany Lions over Michigan and Notre Dame. He had more than 40 offers and weighed them carefully.
"Everyone had a chance to start, but as I did more research, visited more places and thought more about it, PSU was where I wanted to be. I'm very excited about this."
As a junior, Connor made 170 tackles and had three interceptions. On offense, he ran for 1,500 yards and 29 scores. He'll be a linebacker for the Nittany Lions.
"This is great," he said. "I'm so happy this is over and I made my choice. I think I made the right one."
Connor is ranked as the No. 17 player in the country by Rivals.com and the No. 2 inside linebacker.
