Dallas sleeper commits to Yale

Dallas (Texas) W.T. White already has two prospects in safety DeMaurier Thompson and athlete Leon Patton committed to Big 12 schools. Tight end Ben Meyer has now joined the list of committed prospects but is heading to a different place all together.
Meyer, who had grabbed an offer from Yale, took an official visit to the Ivy League school this past weekend and enjoyed his time enough to make a decision.

"I just committed to Yale after taking my trip there," Meyer said. "There were a lot of kids there from this area that went there, so it was just the best fit for me."
Princeton and Rice were two schools heavily recruiting, but no offer had come.
"I was talking to Rice a lot before the coach resigned," Meyer said. "They were looking pretty strong. It didn't work out and I'm now 100 percent headed to Yale."
Meyer is a two-way player that played at tight end and defensive line during his high school career.
