Dallas safety has Big 12 offers

The city of Dallas is always loaded with blue-chip players and some times it’s easy to overlook those prospects and by doing so, miss out on some of the other really good players. One such player is strong safety Antron Edmundson.
Edmundson plays on the same team as standout running back Gabriel Williams, one of the top tailback recruits in the Midlands Region, but the 6-foot-1, 194-pound strong safety is a talented recruit on his own.

“I’m good and nasty on defense,” Edmundson, who had 95 solo tackles, 105 assists, 17 tackles for a loss, four sacks, two fumble recoveries and one interception as a junior, said.
“I just go out there and do what it takes to get done.”
And he does it with a never-say die attitude. Couple that with his 4,5-second speed in the 40-yard dash and you have a player that’s already getting attention from the college coaches.
He lists K-State, TCU, Toledo, Missouri, Baylor, Oklahoma State and North Texas as his top teams. All but K-State has offered him at this point, but it looks like K-State is close, though.
“K-State will be the newest top team,” he said. “They are highly recruiting me like the other schools. They talked to me the other day and said they really like me as a strong safety, so you can say that I’m definitely interested in them.”
Edmundson said the toughest player that he’ll face this upcoming season will be Dallas South Oak Cliff star Lendy Holmes. But he’s hoping he can show him that’s he’s a star too.
“I’ll be ready for him,” Edmundson said.
Edmundson said he’s not really narrowed his focus on what he’ll pick a school based on. At this point, he’s still going to be interested in all of the teams that are interested in him.
